About the Staff
Certified Nurse-Midwives (Advanced Nurse Practitioners)
Cherie Boettcher CNMCherie founded Birth and Women’s Center in 1993 after earning a Master’s – level certificate in Nurse – Midwifery from the State University of New York. Prior to this time, she practiced as a home birth midwife for 13 years and worked as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting. To date, she has attended more than 3,000 births in 30 years of practice. She has committed her life to providing women with a safe, nurturing environment where they may become mothers, and a supportive space where couples share in becoming families. |
Carol Bunker CNMCarol earned her Certificate in Nurse Midwifery from the Institute of Midwifery, Women and Health through Philadelphia University in 2003. She graduated in 2004 from Philadelphia University with a Master’s degree in Midwifery. Carol comes to Birth and Women’s Center with 23 years of experience in women’s health. Prior to this time, she practiced at Women’s Preventative Health Services in Oklahoma City. Her philosophy is the belief in the strength and ability of a woman’s body to give birth with minimal intervention. |
